L Reuteri Superfood (full name Lactobacillus Reuteri Superfood) may look, taste, and smell like yogurt, but it is not a yogurt.
L Reuteri Superfood is cultured dairy, made with completely different strains of bacteria than conventional yogurt. These beneficial bacteria - Lactobacillus Reuteri - impart significantly higher benefits and far higher probiotics compared to conventional yogurts*.
L Reuteri Superfood's fermentation process is different from that of conventional yogurts: L Reuteri Superfood is fermented for 36 hours at a lower temperature, and requires the addition of prebiotic fiber to the milk.
Important: L Reuteri Starter needs to be incubated with prebiotic fiber, so be sure to order our Prebio Plus Prebiotoic powder to use with this starter.
Contains 4 sachets. Each Sachet can make up to 2L of Yogurt.
L Reuteri Superfood starter culture provides a high concentration of the exceptional microorganism, Lactobacillus Reuteri. Restoring L. Reuteri into your gastrointestinal tract is among the most powerful strategies you can apply for health, both physical and emotional*.
And there's a bonus, too! Once you've made a batch of L Reuteri Superfoood using our L Reuteri Superfood starter, you can use some of it to culture your next batch! This is called 'reculturing' and can be repeated several times over.

I've tried various different types of milks/cream etc and found the best result for me in the UK was to heat 600ml of whole milk and 600ml of single cream to your recommended temperature (as per your video and held the heat for 15-20 minutes with regular stirring and then let it cool to the recommended temperature before mixing it with a prebiotic powder and your L. Reuteri culture. I had no separation and it produced a thick, creamy and decadent result with a really good taste and consistency. I have used the UHT milk too on it's own which was ok but personally my husband and I prefer the result from the half milk half cream option. The Luvele yoghurt maker is almost constantly in use with a couple of days between, as we simply don't want to be without the yoghurt, even for a day! If I'm honest, the L Reuteri starter seemed an expensive purchase at the time but I have made many subsequent batches using a couple of tablespoons of my previous batch and get equally good results, if not better than the original culture! Therefore, in hindsight, it's much better value than I first thought. Really glad we took the plunge with a purchase. It's quick and it's easy and we are beginning to feel the health benefits too. May go on to try the L. Gasseri culture next.
Quick delivery within 2 days of ordering. I made the l reuteri yoghurt with UHT whole milk in the Luvelle yoghurt maker and it worked perfectly. A very tiny amount of separation but I just whisked that back in. It has quite a mild creamy taste.
I did not have success with this starter. I followed my usual method - I stirred two tablespoons of inulin powder per one litre of single cream and added to this one sachet as instructed. Set my Luvele yoghurt maker to 38C for the usual 36 hours as instructed. The result was inedible, to put it lightly - highly separated and smelt like cheese. Not in a good way. I will try again and hope for better results.
A pricey item but the delivery was prompt and trouble free.
I have tried to make the L Reuteri cultured milk as outlined in the book Super Gut using the crushed L Reuteri tablets from another company and every batch failed. I kept trying to fix it by looking online for what other people were doing, but none of that helped. Anyway, I stumbled across Luvele's starter culture and initially I thought it was expensive for only 4 sachets in the pack. However, out of frustration with the tablets I placed an order. The results exceeded my expectations. I am now making my 4th batch and I have only used 1 sachet for the 1st batch all subsequent batches have been started from that 1st batch and each batch was perfect. I am very happy with the results and will happily recommend it.
