Move over overnight oats and chia pots, it’s time to try the latest overnight brekky addiction, overnight Weet-bix. Banoffee pie overnight Weet-bix is a healthy, high-protein and high-fibre breakfast pot that’s easy to make and tastes like a dessert, but is sugar free.
Using the same concept as overnight oats, Banoffee pie overnight Weet-bix is prepared the night before and chilled in the fridge. Instead of mixing everything together, you layer the ingredients in a jar. The combination of Weet-bix, homemade date paste, slices of banana and homemade yogurt come together to create a fun twist on the famous British Banoffee dessert. A few minutes simple prep in the evening will make busy mornings seem like a breeze.
Banoffee pie overnight Weet-bix is sure to become a new breakfast favourite. Give it a try and discover another way to enjoy homemade date paste and homemade yogurt.
The 400ml tall glass vacuum containers are the ideal grab-and-go breakfast meal prep vessel to keep your overnight weet-bix as fresh as the day you made them.
The recipe below makes one serving. Use the measurements as a guide only. Add more of any of the fillings to suit your dietary needs. For a dairy free breakfast Banoffee pie, simply switch the milk and yogurt for your favourite plant-based version.
Weet-Bix are an Aussie breakfast staple. In the UK they are known as Weetabix. Unfortunately, these flaky wheat biscuits are not sold in the US. As an alternative you could use sugar free wheat or bran flakes. You can use the gluten-free version if you are intolerant to gluten.
